The Company: Our client is a leading US medical devices company quoted on NASDAQ with HQ in California. It has shown phenomenal growth in recent years around the world by demonstrating the clinical and economical benefits of robotic surgery in key surgical indications. Today’s clinical focus is urology, gynaecology, cardiac, bariatric, and digestive surgery. More than 1.480 systems have been installed today, of which over 165 in Europe at the start of this year with high increase foreseen in 2010.

The Position: This is a challenging and highly attractive position for a seasoned Sales Manager, who will manage a team of 6-7 Clinical Sales Representatives throughout the region in order to expand clinical usage in all existing accounts. His/her main responsibility will thus be to increase the number of surgical procedures in the approved and evolving indications for robotic surgery, by coaching and supporting the Clinical Sales Representatives to achieve ambitious sales targets (instruments), make quality presentations about the product and retain close customer contact and confidence. (S)he will also manage training and education process within installed base, lead new system installation process and work with the training and marketing departments to implement new strategies and programs.
The candidate will be based preferably in Belgium or any location that permits effective coverage and traveling throughout the territory.
The candidate should be familiar with the OR and will be fully trained by the company into becoming an expert both on the surgical system and in the expanding list of surgical procedures identified by the company.

The Profile: The ideal candidate will:
- Have demonstrated success in (clinical)sales management in a reputable surgical company.
- Possess excellent people management skills
- Experience in Urology or Gynaecology would be a distinct advantage.
- Have outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Speak and present with excellent English in addition to Dutch; additional French is highly desirable.
