The Company: US venture-capital backed company founded in 2003 and leading developer of novel stent systems for the treatment of bifurcation lesions, a largely unmet clinical need in interventional cardiology. The Company’s Stent System is approved for sale in Europe and fully launched commercially in more than 10 countries, after successful treatment of over 1000 patients which confirmed clinical success and ease of use of the procedure. The Company already employs a small team of Regional Sales Managers and is currently hiring additional people to expand the sales and marketing organisation and assure revenue growth. Distributors have been appointed in the major European countries.

The Position: This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Product or Marketing Manager to make a difference, create the Marketing function within the Company and be a significant contributor to the commercial development and success of the Company. Reporting to the VP Sales & Marketing EMEA, the key responsibility will be to develop and provide operational marketing and product support to the (distributor) sales organisation, making all clinical information available and use it to develop pertinent product information and promotional materials. You will also create strong relations with key opinion leaders, solicit information and feedback and answer any questions that are raised from physicians in the field. You will establish excellent working relationships with Regional Sales Managers and distributors and travel throughout the region to guide the sales force to properly position the product and approach customers; give product demonstrations; support product introduction in new markets with solid communication programs and provide product training in the cath lab when needed.

The Profile: The successful candidate is likely to occupy a Product Manager in a cardiovascular company today, and preferably has previous experience in a sales or clinical support function. You must have a strong capacity to translate clinical publications into marketing messages and to develop marketing, KOL and educational programs. A self-starter, you are an effective communicator and team player, able to work effectively and with autonomy in a small, highly dynamic European team, establishing good working relationships with the Regional Sales Managers and Clinical Specialists, in a fast moving start-up environment. Fluency in English is a must, additional languages a great advantage.
Location: home-based, preferably but not necessarily Belgium or the Netherlands, convenient for territory coverage.
