The Company: Our client, a US company, designs, manufactures and markets Cardiology capital equipment for use in Hospital interventional operation rooms or interventional lab to treat arrhythmias and coronary artery diseases on a worldwide basis. The company offers a capital equipment system which comprises a Magnetic navigation system that navigates catheters, guide wires and other delivery devices through blood vessels and chambers of the heart to treatment sites and also sells various disposable interventional devices including catheters, guide wires and other delivery devices and a small equipment.

The Position: The Director Clinical Adoption Southern Europe will report directly to the General Manager EMEA. He/she will have strong commercial skills and sales management experience and be responsible for ensuring that his/her team implement the corporation’s strategic goals in the development of the systems’ utilisation in his/her. He/she will manage a team of Account Managers, who are working closely with hospitals who have adopted the system. The Account Managers cover an installed base in the following countries: Italy, Spain/Portugal, France/Switzerland, Central Germany/Switzerland and South Germany/Czech Republic. Some of the key responsibilities will be: Develop and implement clinical usage/ sales activities to achieve and exceed goals set by senior management, manage Account Manager’s in the development and execution of a plan to effectively integrate the system into customer sites, assist them with clinical plan development for each procedural team as well as assisting them in expanding clinical usage in all existing accounts, partner with Account Manager’s to drive continuous expansion of the user base, provide Account Management with new product information or new information on existing products, manage training and education process within installed base and work with the training and marketing departments to implement new strategies and programs as directed by senior management.

The Profile: The candidate should have a higher level Education (Bachelor Degree or higher), proven track record in sales (disposables or capital equipment sales), previous record of managing and directing a sales force in the medical device industry. An exposure to Electrophysiology, Cardiac Rhythm Management, or Interventional Cardiology in either a lab or clinical setting is a plus. A demonstrated success in sales management, with the ability to identify and implement strategies aimed at growing business, as well maintaining and establishing rapport with KOL. Excellent communication skills, fluency in English and other European language(s) preferred, as well as availablilty to travel frequently (60 to 80% of time). This is a home based position and the candidate will most likely be based in South Germany, Austria, France, or Switzerland for frequent travel in the region
