The Company: Our client operates within the ophthalmic pharmaceutical market, which is expected to grow at a double-digit annual rate during the years to come. This growth is likely to be driven by new technologies and products, premium pricing facing no significant reimbursement issues, favourable trends (aging of the population, diabetes epidemiology and environmental factors) and dramatic expansion into the large and mostly untapped market for retinal degenerative diseases. The ophthalmology market has proved recently to be an early adopter of innovations, allowing new players to gain visibility very rapidly.

The Position: Our client is looking for a Senior Clinical Operations Director. This role is essential in the context of successful clinical development plans. The main purposes of the Job is to spearhead the course of action necessary to meet goals and objectives of specific clinical projects/programs. You will be responsible ensuring that business processes/systems and performance align with ophthalmology clinical research (OPHCR) strategy and goals as well as providing clinical operations support to the Medical/Safety Director.

The Profile: · MD or PhD, ideally with experience in ophthalmology · Experience in pharmaceutical industry in clinical development/clinical project management · Knowledge and understanding of regulatory guidelines for the use in clinical trials · Working knowledge of global standards related to clinical study data management activities (CRF design, data standards, database design, coding and coding dictionaries, etc.)Fluent French and English are required
